Sorry. Just another joke of Kam's. What I really want to talk about are those red little stains on the paintings. They are eye-catching and they are artistic. They are simply fantastic. They are seals, or Chinese seals to be specific. From an ancient symbol of authority (of emperors and generals) to today's simple tool of signature, the element of art has always been an inseparable part of the seal. Some people might think Chinese characters are complicated. In fact,
it was way worse before the characters were unified around 200 B.C. There
were numerous character sets then and there were easily 100+ corresponding
characters for each character that we are using today. However, when these
super complicated characters reappear on seals, they become bloody good
looking work of art.
For as low as $30, you can a have a custom made seal of your own. You
may choose to have your name's Chinese translation or a simple motto engraved
on the seal.
