Aug., 2006 page updated. If you have noticed, this section has been almost empty in the past 2 year. In light of China's economic boom, lots of bamboo carvers have turned to other opportunities then carrying on with this time-consuming folk art. Kam had spent another 2 years searching in deep China for new artists to fill this section. Luckily, he found one. Folks, this is real folk art that you see in this section. Kam seriously recommend it. |
Aug., 2002 section launched! I saw these bamboo
sculptures 2 years ago and I was stunned. How could someone with his bear hand
and a knife carve out 3-D pine trees and people from a 2-D thin piece of bamboo?
Well, someone can do just that.
2 years later, Kam runs
into a few bamboo sculpture artists and thus we have this page. Enjoy. |
